Bondtech lgx vs hemera1/6/2024 ![]() The inlay and the pouch for the tools are made of paper and can be recycled in an environmentally friendly way. The packaging is made of sheet metal and can then be used to store tools or spare parts. The product is "Made in Germany" to enable short delivery routes and to offer the highest quality. Pay attention to the thread size G1 / 8 ". These can be exchanged for smaller or larger hose diameters. It is therefore recommended to replace the silicone hoses with PVC hoses.Ħ mm Festo plug-in connections are installed as standard. Direct Drive Bondtech LGX Lite with Mosquito Magnum Hotend on Ender 7 with. Alternatively, on the top, left, and right sides you can find two mounting holes on each face that can be used instead. In the case of the Bondtech LGX, that feature remains, just make sure the mounting plate is no thicker than 3mm. You can find these studs on the accessories bag in your LGX package. The E3D Water Cooling Kit can be used, but the silicone hoses are not compatible with the Festo plug connections. A fairly common way to mount extruders is by using a plate between the stepper motor and the extruder housing. Use the supplied studs to replace the 4 screws of the stepper motor and use them as additional mounting points. Reports suggest that when it clogs, it clogs for good. A crossbreed of V6 and Mosquito, it takes V6 nozzles while pumping up a Volcano flow, at least on paper. Not a huge fan, since it needs a specialized nozzle. Thanks for the reply Locally (Australia) I can't get the LGX and one supplier has all the Hemera spares. Hemera WaCo Mod is compatible with all E3D Hemera components. This appears to be a go-to hotend for high flow. Looking to upgrade your printer with a next-generation extrusion system Hemera is a compact, dual-drive extrusion system which combines our V6 HotEnd with. All screws and tools required for this are included in the contents of delivery. After filling the cooling circuit, the system can be used immediately. The water cooling is installed on the E3D Hemera in a few simple steps. with designs for alternative mounting options in future. Another advantage of the Hemera WaCo Mod is that the motor is also effectively cooled thanks to the enlarged contact surface.ģD printing in heated chambers enables greater strength and reduces the risk of warping when processing technical filaments such as nylon, polycarbonate and ABS. Designed for mounting to Bondtech BMG-M Bondtech LGX Titan Aero Hemera Raise 3D N1. Overheating due to insufficient cooling is a thing of the past. I will need to deal with firmware changes but it will not a problem since the brand provide a good explanation of it, just thinking how I will set the end stops and attach the entire extruder to the rods (combine with others designs provided above or remix the E3d adapter to UM2) the challenge will be keep a good balance on it… I will lose a bit of area in some of the axis probably and need to add a fan duct on it.With the new mebs.tech Hemera WaCo Mod, the E3D Hemera can develop its full performance even in heated chambers. The speed will be lower because of the extra weight but I always print slower than 60 and with bigger nozzles… and I’m printing a lot with TPU nowadays shores of 85A, 95A and 98A (semi-flex) so this should be a good direction even to print TPE /softer and showned in some demos. ![]() It’s a good option for me convert to 1.75mm filament because it’s almost impossible to find 2.85mm here and when I found it’s triple the price and has a lot of moisture due to low demand □ I also get an allmetal/ bimetal heatbreak to avoid the one with internal PTFE tube (it cames with Capricorn in a bore 4.1 heatbreak I guess). Smaller motor (weaker torch), but relation 7:1 and total extruder weight of 119 grams (photo bellow). ![]() Nowadays there is a newer and lighter extruder in the market, the H2 from Biqu, just got one. Prints like a charm now (even flexibles). In retrospect I would recommend to start with a 3D-printed one. Also it's quite heavy and the included linear bearings are trash. There is also a aluminium head assembly on AliExpress, but be careful, you may have to modify (drill/mill) to get it working. I would also recommend to print everything from ABS or similar temperature stable. V6 groove mount compatible hotend (24V Heater Cartridge, PT100 Thermistor) "Tinker-Firmware" by TinkerGnome (/TinkerGnome/Ultimaker2Marlin/releases) "Ultimaker 2 BMG direct drive mount" by Tigerhawk60 (- Bondtech BMG extruder My original design was quite laborious, but I found a more elegant solution based on ultiarjan's suggestion:ġ) tube-holder: reuses the bowden-tube as cable-guideĢ) Y-endstop-extender: BMG stepper motor will crash into the UM2 housing without it Sorry for the late reply, but I revised my mod quite a bit. Hello TheGrine, im interested in this configuration, could you please give me feedback of the configuration?
